How much Montagekit will I need?

The amount of glue needed depends largely on the type of job and the type of Montagekit. In general, bonding large boards requires less glue than, for example, wooden or slatted structures. In addition, the space between the materials and the substrate that needs to be filled also plays a part.

As a guideline: for boards, 2 to 2.5 m2 per cartridge and for wooden and slatted structures, 1.5 to 2 m2 per cartridge.

What are the implications of the European Construction Products Regulation (CPR) No. 305/2011?

This regulation came into force on 1 July 2013 and establishes the minimum requirements for construction products in the areas of safety, fire resistance and mechanical resistance, among others. When a harmonised European standard has been established for a specific group of products, the manufacturer has an obligation to demonstrate that it complies with the relevant CE requirement and to label the product with the CE logo. In addition, a Declaration of Performance (DoP) must be available, describing how the product has been tested and indicating the level of performance achieved by the product.  PVC adhesives, tile adhesives and chemical dowels are subject to this European Construction Products Regulation. Closures will be covered by the regulation from 2014.  The respective Declarations of Performance (DoPs) are available on request.
