BATHING FUN

ART/SCIENCE

From year 3 - Working time: 3 to 4 double lessons

TASK AND MOTIVATION

Summer, sun, water! Swimming, paddling, playing, squirting - water is something wonderful and fascinating for all children. "Swimming and playing in the water” is therefore an issue with which it is easy to motivate pupils. The children develop image ideas based on their own experiences or which originate from their dreams.
The task of forming an image with inserted elements, goes against most ideas. The elements are made outside of the image and inserted in the image along sections. With this technique, it is easier for the children to visualise complex scenes than with a conventional painted image.

Step 8

Place the figures from Sheet 1 on the waves on Sheet 2. With a pencil, mark on the wave edge where each character will sit and make an exact cut with the cutter on the wave line. You must teach the pupils how to use the cutter first.

Risk of injury! Only work with cutting mat.
