Apply glue to the material to be bonded and press the material against the substrate. This may sound strange, but afterwards, pull the material apart again. This means there is now glue in both the material and the substrate. Allow the glue to dry for 5 minutes and press the material firmly back against the substrate. This method ensures a high initial bonding strength. This is important if, for example, you can't use staples or if you're gluing under light pressure.
