Application
Suitable for repairs to metal, ceramics, porcelain, crystal, glass, ivory, pearls, precious stones and various synthetics (polyester, bakelite, formica, rigid polystyrene and acrylic glass (Perspex®).
Not suitable for Polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), PTFE and silicone rubber.
Handling
Before use
Only apply at temperatures between +15°C and +35°C. Product cures by mixing the resin and the hardener.
The surface must be dry, clean and free of dust and grease.
Degrease parts to be bonded with methylated spirit. Roughen smooth surfaces (sandpaper).
Mix the components by using the static mixer.
1:1 by volume
1 ml = approx 10 cm² at a film thickness of 1 mm
During use
The surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and free from oil and grease. Smooth surfaces should be roughened. Break the nozzle and seal. Screw on enclosed mixer. Squeeze adhesive out of the syringe, discard the first centimeter of adhesive and apply to one side, to both sides with rough materials. Process time approximately 45 minutes at room temperature. The functional strength is reached after 6h, final bonding strength after 24 h (both at room temperature). Unscrew and dispose mixer after use. Clean syringe nozzles and seal with cap. Use second mixer for next use. Store in upright position, in a cool, dry place. Do not use at temperatures below 10 °C.
Some types of synthetics can not be joined such as polyethylene and polypropylene. Use a piece of adhesive tape in order to keep the parts in place while the adhesive is curing.
Close well after use. A controlled and constant addition of heat for a specified time ("tempering") can improve the mechanical properties of the cured resin, including its strength, hardness and toughness. Curing time depends on the temperature.
After use
Remove wet stains immediately with warm water and soap. Cured adhesive residue can only be removed mechanically.
Store in tightly closed packaging in a dry, cool and frost-free place.
